There’s been a lot of OOTD posts on the blog lately, so I was in the mood for a beauty post!
I love playing around with colour in my makeup, especially right now since my daily makeup has been very natural and minimal. An easy way to introduce colour to your makeup (besides lipstick) is eyeliner!
Here I’ve been using an emerald green liquid liner. Sure it looks pretty close to black, but there’s a subtle difference. You can always make the liner thicker, for a more noticeable colour-pop! The liner I used is from Teeez, and very nice! Long lasting, easy to apply, the whole thing.
I want to share a little trick I learned recently, that gives the illusion of a slightly glossy lid: Apply a light shimmery colour (I used Bootycall from Urban Decay Naked 2) in a vertical line from just undet the brow, to the last line. Blend the edges and use a medium brown shade, preferably matte (I used Tease from Urban Decay Naked 2) only in the crease and NOT in the middle where you put the lighter colour. Does it make sense? Well anyway, I hope you can see what I mean!
Here’s another tip that I’m obsessed with to highlight the cheekbones. I use just a tiny amount of Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream (the fragrance free one) on the highest point of the cheekbone. It gives beautiful, natural looking shine. For a bit more glitz, like for this look, I mixed a small amount of e.l.f. Shimmering Facial Whip (you can use any cream highlighter) with the Eight Hour Cream. And bam! Full list of products used behind the jump.
